  •  These games always start during the nicest part of the day :(

  •  Whenever I get to the next one, you'll have to show me that break. I am a terrible breaker!

  •  Hey, I notice that you guys play at cafes/restaurants. Do you have some sort of arrangement with them, or do you just buy enough drinks/food that they don't care?

    Brian Chorba (May 01, 2010 11:44 PM)
  •  They actually canceled it due to lack of product... Sorry, I didn't see your messages until today.. I meant to post something about it.

    Jeff Engel (Apr 18, 2010 8:40 PM)
  •  My wife and I played some (regular) cards while we were there... They have a bunch of tables and a couch... Didn't ask anyone specifically while I was there but not sure why it'd be a problem, especially since it's board game night and there are people playing scrabble and whatnot. I'll give them a call to confirm if you like.

Another place nearby that I haven't been to yet is Winston's... It's a 24-hour cafe, and from the outside it looks pretty nice. Might be another possibility...

  •  I only have played "classic" A&A, never got the upgraded versions. Will there be a game for me?

  •  Hi Alex, if you're into anything medieval, then this is the group for you!

  •  321 Something-or-other; about humans deciding to genocide every other alien species, tiny character sheet with 3 HP; kinda weird, military-themed. But I don't remember the rest of the title.

  •  I see you like boardgames. I hope you will come to our Monday night backgammon tournament, Parthenon Restaurant, 321 S. Halsted, 5:45. In addition to the regular tournaments, we have a "junior" tournament for beginners and give free lessons on how to play. The main tournament is $10 and the junior tournament is $5. Hope to see you. •  Hey Josie. Great time at the game. What do you think about balancing the game for Axis?

    Ideas

    1. Bid up Axis IPC for the right to play Allies.

2.Weapons Development Benefits: The German player starts with
Jet Power, and the Japan player starts with Super Subs.
    - Restricted Attack: The USSR player is not allowed to attack
    until the second turn.
